Anthony R. Smith is a Texas-based science fiction author drawn to the edges of what feels possible. His work lives in that narrow band between realism and speculation, where physics still matters and human decisions carry weight. Anthony believes the future isn’t a distant fantasy but a continuation of the world we already know.

A new voice in the genre, Smith writes stories about expansion across space, systems, and across the limits of human understanding. His stories wrestle with the tension between ambition and consequence, the friction between political systems and survival, and the quiet, often uncomfortable truths about the human condition.

Influenced as much by real-world science and geopolitics as by classic sci-fi, his work asks a simple question in increasingly complex ways: what happens when humanity reaches farther than it understands? He often wonders what happens when you sprinkle a little sarcasm where imagination and reality intersect within the pages of stories told.

When he’s not writing, he can usually be found somewhere under a wide Texas sky, or hiking New Mexico, thinking through the next problem the universe might throw at us.
